I am an artist who finds inspiration in the small details that others might miss. I find these fascinating details in nature, in music, in literature, in every aspect of life. The lush landscape of the temperate forest of the Pacific Northwest provides the backdrop.

As a child I was fortunate enough to live in Europe and visit some of the world’s great art museums. I later realized that I wanted to pursue a career in art and received a BA in Art History at Colorado State University. I spent several years working toward an MA in Museum Studies at Oregon State University with an emphasis on Northwest Native Art.

Life took unexpected turns and now, after decades working outside the art world and raising three children as a single mother, I find the time and motivation to return to art.

My work is a hodge-podge of mixed media from paper collage infused with glitter, crayons, markers, pastels, and found objects like buttons and paint brushes to acrylic, larger than life paintings of things real and imagined.

I have gathered my life’s work here in the portfolio section. More recent items are for sale. It is my hope that it will convey to you some of the wonder and mystery that I see and feel in the world.
